Jeez, the interior door handles are the worst bit of design on any car I've ever had.

The way the inner (smooth plastic) bit seems to clip into the armrest is rubbish. They rattle and tick and creak when you're driving and when you pull the door closed they make the most awful creaking noises.

On the driver side I've nearly cured it by gluing the inner and outer bits together. Just started on the passenger side.

Rubbish. The biggest interior flaw on the car and not really acceptable. I bet A8s don't have the same thing.

Just getting it off my chest!

Rubbish rubbish rubbish

I think my door handles are aluminium, at teast they look it, they feel very solid. They dont catch on anything and if memory serves me correctly look very similar on the rest of the Audi range. Which model do you have and what age is it?

I mean the plastic pull handles built into the armrest, not the (ally) levers to open the doors

The only complaint that I have is that the armrests produce a enormous wear on my shirts.
I've already ripped four shirts at the elbow. The armrest is not very smooth so all my shirts are now thin at the elbows.

you need leather elbow patches like all fine English gentlemen

I thought you only wore that on your jackets, not on your shirts...
Maybe I'll make some foam padded thingies to rest my elbows on. The armrest is kind of hard on my soft office-worker-style elbows.
