Rear Courtesy Light Query

I noticed only today that the rear courtesy light does not switch on when either of the rear doors is opened. They only activate when either of the front doors are opened. Is this normal?
 
Hi . I hade almost same problem : they came on only now and then when rear door opened. I did not give up :eek:pened the rooflight cluster and discovered that the soldering on the small card was loose. Soldered it again and solved problem:)

I came to think about the fact that ALL other car I can remember has a little rubbercovered switch in the door openings. So what is giving message to the inner lamps???????????????

do the doors really lock? then probably the light. If they don't, it's probably one of the microswitches gone.
