Rear view mirror

My rear view mrror got knocked off yesterday (don't ask) And although it seem to twist onto the square button on the windscreen ok, it still drops off. Not sure whether I've lost something.
Anyone had the same problem ?

Hi
The manual says - For installation, start with the mirror at 60 - 90 deg from the normal position and twist into place until the locking spring engages. If this does not work, maybe you have lost or damaged the locking spring mechanism

Cheers Graham, will have a looksee if there's anything lying about in the car.
Been meaning to pop across sometime but work has gone crazy, will be in touch.
Hope you & Janet are both well

Be really careful as to how much pressure you put on the screen - it's so easy to crack the glass if you're not careful.

Spike is correct though - a good shove at an oblique angle will get it back into position normally - there's nothing to lose, as long as the dip lever is in place.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Phil
Did you get the rear view mirror sorted ?

Still owe you for the charity walk and need some advice on a flooring job so will be in touch.

Cheers Spike
