Refurbishing Front Head Lights

Hi

Can anyone recommend where I can get my two front head lights refurbished/cleaned/repolished etc...all in one? There isn’t some clouding in the front and condensation inside.

I have tried to clean the outside last year, which wasn’t exactly successful. So now, after the bad weather we had recently they would benefit from a good refurbishment.

I live in the Essex area so any recommendations would be appreciated.

I had mine done on my BMW a couple of years ago by a couple of guys that travelled the country doing it. I will see if I can dig out the details.

Any bodyshop could do it for you. It's basic for them.

The condensation can be fixed by some holes on the underside of headlight and silicone grease around the seal on the back.

As A2Steve said good bodyshop, just look at his headlights, also instead of drilling holes in the base of the headlights if you get hold of some of those little desiccant bags you get in some packaging usually electronics and tape them by their edge into the rear plastic cover of the headlight apply some silicone grease to the seal ensuring it is in position and correctly fitted to headlight. Use car as normal but run with the headlights on all the time to build up heat you will find they will clear very quickly. Just change or dry out desiccant bags and replace in headlight if needed.

Ive done it with wet and dry and polish/wax to seal. It was really satisfying to do and even though it felt a bit counterintuitive at first if you stick with it and work your way through the grades it does work to get rid of the exterior haze.
