Remote key (telecomand, funk, etc...)

Anybody know what is the procedures for teaching a remote key to work?
I have a brand new key (only the remote part) and the service assistance told me that my (new) remote must learn and save the commands.
I tryed to make as VW (4 times ignition after pressing the buttons), I tryed like Seat (with a good key power up engine and after lock and unlock the front door woth the new one), etc.... No result!!!

Anyone has an answer? THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU...

Is it not in the handbook?
I seem to remember something about remotes learnig if they have been out of synch
BUT
I think a NEW fob has to be programmed by the dealer using a factory supplied code.

Yes - new fob has to be re-programmed.

One went on our passat and it cost the lease company 20 mins labour to re-programme.

May be cheaper at a Skoda dealer - the systems are the same!
