Good Evening,

Ive been starting the process of fitting my new front handbrake cable but cant figure out how to get these front panels off as the bolt (8) doesnt seem to be there ?

Thanks

Stuart

If the bolt's definitely out, then that panel comes out by pulling with your fingers underneath the bottom edge. Take the front carpet out to give you more access.

Hi

I cant see the plastic cap where the bolt is, it doesnt seem to be there.

Looking at your pboto, if you're talking about the driver's side, there's another bolt under the clutch pedal which holds the slanting footrest onto a metal frame underneath. Take that bolt out, slide the footrest upwards and it should disengage if I remember right. Then the panel pulls out from underneath the same as the passenger side one does. Other than the one bolt each side, both just use push-in clips. It can feel like you're going to break it removing it, but a sharp tug from underneath should do the trick.

ok cool, Thanks for the help

You can leave the footrest in situ when removing the drivers side. It’s easier with the carpet out bit manageable with it in place. It’s just push clips holding the drivers side one on, so needs pulling off.
