Replace Mani and exhaust?

Has anyone fitted this:
My exhaust has a leak on a already patched sport on where the original Flexi was.
Mechanic said better to replace it, but looking at the state of the manifold bolts, I am considering getting rid of the pre cat, and removing from the top, then dropping all the exhaust.
Replacement exhaust and cat, can be had for under £150

what would constitute "illegal" my car is pre emission changes being a 2001 car
it will pass emissions and a "legal" MOT - does that make it legal? The main cat is still on the car.

Don’t know whether it is or not, just asking. I have seen others selling these as for off road/track which is why I was curious. Where does the 1st lambda sensor go? Is it in the location with what appears to be blanking nut in the 5th picture?

Each to their own, but the 1.4 is not know for huge mileages and by fitting this manifold I fear you would be reducing the ultimate life even further. Just fit standard as Audi designed it, spending a lot of money in R&D doing so.
