Hi everyone,
Just joined the club and have been reading through lots of useful threads. There seems to be lots on the subject of fault code 17439. I have this on my 2002 1.6 FSI. I checked out the advice and found that the plastic arm is infact broken on the vaccum actuator. At first I thought ye ha, found it !!
I have now looked around to find if anyone has posted instructions on how to replace this, but there is nothing. The garage has quoted £750 !! I am in no hurry and so I want to try and fix the problem myself.
So, does anyone have detailed instructions on how to remove the intake manifold so that i can clean it and then how to replace the vaccum actuator ?
I have removed various hoses and air intake just to get a good view, but now I'm stuck as to the next step.
Any advice, drawings, instructions would be warmly received.
