Just recently done this job on a MK2 golf; remarkably similar. Very good video, a couple of minor things that weren't mentioned:
When degreasing also degrease the sealing surface on the crank end. The seal has to be fitted dry.
A crank hold tool on the front of the crank and an assistant avoids the need to make a flywheel (or is it pressure plate?) hold tool when torquing the securing bolts.
