Hi all,
As promised I said I would start a thread about the respray,
The roof was my first victim, it had been painted by what looks like a 3 year old with a machine gun.
It was horrendous!
I have prepped, primed repaired bad previous repair and painted black,
I have got 3 mixing schemes in house so took the brightest black and dropped a few grams of blue in and my god it looks awesome!
It's currently gun finish, I used my devilbiss git Pro lite clear coat gun with the super flat air cap, the one that's advised not to use to match factory finish and you will see why
I'm going to do the whole top of the car this black with daytona grey lower half, I might play with the grey a bit i.e change some pearls but haven't thought that far ahead yet.
Anyway enough rambling, here's some pics...
Before I started
During initial prep and sorting out poor filler work
Prepped ready for primer
Primed
And finally painted
