My A2 1.4Tdi SE NX51 225,000 car is now rebuilt, just putting the finishing touches on her, Driven it from New. The grandchildren call her Grumps. Bought parts from all over the EU and the UK to complete the restoration.

Lots of pals involved with the work. Respay was semi professional

Complete rebuild after stripping it down. Everything renewed. It could be called a new engine.

Indeed. Nearly all new. Body is original, wheels, radio. Everything mechanical was rebuilt. Turbo, engine, air conditioning, springs, shocks, everything new on breaks including an upgrade, all break pipes, all sensors. He radiator and headlights are original.

Thanks Tom. After quarter of a million miles with an average mileage of 68mpg. She did long runs length and breath of the UK over her life. Owes me nothing but TLC and a happy retirement in long summer days looking like she has just rolled off the production line 22 years ago.

This is what the two A2 Tdi 75 Bhp SE bearings look like after 225,000 miles. Tracking an ABS issue. Decided to go for changing everything including the four sensors. Now looking at the wiring? The never-ending story.
