Retro-Fit Flatblade Wipers

Hi

I have a Audi MK2 but my wife has a Audi TT and she has just bought a pair of Retro-Fit Flatblade wipers like the ones you get on the new Polo’s etc.

Here is the link to the TT forum on this:

Apparently they use the same clip as normal arms so can be fitted on all cars, just thought I would give you all the heads up as I tried to get Bosch ones for my car and I needed to buy a replacement arm (£90 in total!!!!) and these blades only cost £19! The site they are talking about is www.1stautobulbs.com and there is a link on their homepage for the Fusion Flatblades.

Might be worthwhile the Forum manager calling these people to arrange a discount like the TT boys have got! (10% meaning the blades cost £17!)

Hope this is good information (Been reading for a while but thought I would give something back to the community :) )

Thanks Dave - this is useful information. I was actually looking for a set of these for my Saab. I will talk to them to see if we can arrange a discount for owners of the older A2 models.

Ben.

Just a reminder that VAG-Parts do an A2 floppy wiper upgrade kit. About £40 though. Made a big difference compared to my old-style "wobbly" metal one.

I Actually still have the old style wobbly wiper i sort of like it ,like you say it makes the car wobble when its switched on and makes the car go from side to side ,i think it gives the car character LOL !!!!

I have the same as you wooly A2 its very weird if you are stationary with the wipers going rocks the car thought it was a faulty wiper at first. Strange how this can happen to a car that is so well built
