Hi All
Anybody retro fitted a Sunroof, if so, how much and by whom.
Thanks
Simon

Been questioned before. If I remember, the consensus was no!

Aluminium body to cut, structural flexing, having to ensure that all fixings will not cause the aluminium to 'rust' (well, not rust but alu does react when in contact with some other metals).

Not putting you off, but wishing you good luck!

The fact that the roof isn't flat also makes it harder to fit a roof. I think that it's probably easier to retrofit a aftermarket airconditioning.

yeh the sunroof is really good, i got 1 when i bought the car,
however with the sunblind you cant really see much of it or see through,
i am planning on removing the sun blind this week after 2/3 years of ownership.

Black 2001 A2 with 16" 6 spoke, Open sky system, xenon lights, and concert single cd.

The sunroof is really elegant but gives lots of problems, including noise, leaks and problems with the glass panels sticking.
