Reversing sensor failure

Merry Christmas allπŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„
I'm having issues with my reversing sensors,
I believe it's 1 of the sensors faulty, vcds is saying code 01547-30-00 rear mid right (G205)?
When I put it into to reverse it beeps, then a short pause, then a long solid beep, them silence.

My questions are, are the Audi parts still available?
How easy are they to fit?
Do I have to spray them to match the colour of the car?
Many thanks for any suggestions,
All the best,
Gary

Evening Gary,

Yes these sensors are still available new and slightly cheaper in aftermarket form. Either option will require painting in the correct colour code which is easy enough. Ensure you use a quality primer and clear coat along with the top coat. The eBay offerings from Fiona McGowan have always been perfect for the applications I’ve done in the past.

As the sensor that has failed is one of the central 2 then no need to remove the rear bumper to swap. You can access the sensor you need to replace from simply removing the mat black trim panel below the bottom of the tailgate. Be careful whilst removing this panel as the securing tabs can easily be broken.

Kind regards,

Tom

Thanks Tom πŸ˜ƒ, I did the old "ear to the sensor" trick yesterday, one of them was a constant click click click, the other 3 were like a horse cantering type of click πŸ˜…
