Separating connector help

Hi

Does anyone know how to separate the green from the black heat roller dials body?

Thank you

Post pictures of the plug showing the 4 sides. There will be a release tab on one of them that needs to be pressed in to unlock then release the plug from the switch.

Until I see more pictures I suspect that on both longer sides of the plug there are forks ( one visible to the rear of the part number panel off the switch ). These forks would need to be either carefully pinched or more likely spread simultaneously and the plug pulled off the switch.

Just found a picture of the rear of a heated seat switch that hopefully is the same as yours. You can see the diamond shaped plastic lugs. These are what I expect the forks expand over then close to lock the plug to the switch. If so then my initial thought is correct and you either need to spread the forks or possibly they will pull apart....

Taking an interest as I will be doing the same maybe today. It is just a push fit with a couple of retainers to release, the diamond bits on each side.

Focus on those bits on the side of the connector. I have done this before but can't remember how to release but I do remember when released still needs effort to slide off those spades - heavy friction fit.

I will return later if you are still stuck.

Edit. I now see Graham is saying the same thing.

Done it, was very scared to break the fittings as fairly rare and expensive. Typical audi super complex and yet another type of connector. Appreciate they have to be safe tho. I spread the green bits and gently levered with plastic blade.
