Service Offered: A2 OSS Sunroof Repair

Hiya,

As you know I’m up for this. My car is back now; when would be suitable for you? I can leave it without you for however long is necessary.

Cheers,
Hedge
Hi Hedge,
I've been waiting on repair parts for the roofs, they have to come from Germany so take a while. I'm hoping they should be with me this week, then I have to do A2steves, Muskas and IrfanA8s, although I do not think Irfan is 100% sure yet, then I will contact you when I can do yours, I'm hoping I can do them quickly when the parts arrive. I will add you to the queue for now.

Thanks

I'm hoping we can do this Saturday 4th @Kleynie because I'm away on holidays then for a week so won't be available. If you don't get the parts in time then I'm happy for someone else to bump up the queue until I get back.

That is possible if the parts arrive in the next couple of days Steve. We will have to see when they arrive

Well done on offering this service, if word gets out Audi will be subcontracting OSS work with you:). Not as daft it sounds, Milton Keynes Audi passed A2 work to Tony at A2 Cars, I bet unbeknown to the customer who paid top whack Audi rates!!

Update: Now offering roof servicing, this includes re grease, panel re alignment if needed and cleaning of the blind, plus any other adjustments needed. This should be done as regularly as a normal service of your car. Cost per car: £80.
:) when do you plan a trip to the eu mainland, just as timmus

Just for the record, Ian and Adam fixed my OSS last week and I collected it on Saturday, just in time for the weather to turn. I'm very pleased with the job they did, and at a very reasonable charge. Would highly recommend them.

Totally cool, just let me know. As I say, you’re not too far from me, so easy peasy to drop off/ leave with you anytime.

Thanks.

Just as a matter of interest to all who have OSS and are not sure how good/bad the roof is working, how long should it take to fully open and close?
Also what products to grease and lubricate would you recommend for general home servicing?
I feel that this info would of great interest to all who have a working roof but are not sure how efficiently it operates.
Many thanks Graham

Graham,
A good roof should probably not be measured on time, but on smoothness, if it does not stutter and is smooth, then it is well lubricated and efficient. Another thing to check, it should go about an inch beyond the front of the open blind when fully open.
As for grease, Audi offer genuine gravel grease for sunroofs, although I do not use it, it could be worth buying.

Is that a crack right across Frankie’s windscreen or just a trick of the light

An early start this morning and a 320 mile journey to go and visit Ian and Adam.

"Hopefully" a happy customer, definately a happy customer.

Had a very warm welcome from them both and Mrs Kleynie was lovely offering refreshments.

I know this is one the first couple of roofs Adam has done but you would swear he had been doing it for years. Very knowledgeable and a very professional service.

I'll have a go at doing anything on an A2 but it was nice and reassuring to have someone do the work who really knows what he is doing.

I arrived at 8am and was away with a working roof by 9.30.

And the best part....The roof is super smooth, very quiet and works a charm.

Thank you all

Now it's time to give the car back to the boss @A2Sam

Ahhh I’m so excited :-D Thank you both so much, I can’t wait to try it out! Thank you for looking after Steve, while he was there ?
No problem at all Sam, hope you enjoy it. Also, the colour looks even better in person, massive fan of the blue.
