I was just wondering how easy it is to sevice the a2 yourself.(spark plugs ,air filter, oil filter..etc.)

As i havn't looked under the bonnet yet,i have no idea of the general lay-out of the engine.

As anyone else had a go at self-service.(so to speak).[:I]

Don't want to rain on your parade, but I wonder if anyone outside of Audi can reset the service indicator? Or wouldn't his bother you?

I take it you would want to carry out this work on an A2 older than 3 years (in the UK) as it would invalidate the warranty otherwise (probably telling you what you know, so sorry!).

your correct...I won't be doing anything yet,but once the warranties up...i'm thinking about putting in a 'performance' air-filter and spark-plugs.

I was just wondering if it's feasable to do his yourself,or get Audi to fit them in.

Can you? Well I never knew that. I didn't own an A2 long enough to find out-kept changing the thing.

I thought if the owner couldn't reset it, Tesco's could....

Yes, you can reset the service indicator - but only to Fixed Interval mode, not VSI.

To reset the service indicator to variable - this is done through Vag-Com. Module 17, Adaption 10 - Channel 2, 43 - 45 IIRC.
