Slightly lowered car and chocolate drop links

I'm looking for some recommendations on drop links it seems. I currently use Pro Sport adjustable drop links at the maximum length setting and I'm now about to buy my third set in 3 years. Truly terrible quality but I'm somewhat restricted due to the choice it seems.

I tried Meyle HD last year when I was going to change again but I was getting minor issues with them being just a tad too long which is a real shame given their reputation.

Can anyone recommend anything else out there that will last longer than a year? :(

Thanks!

You could fit better bushes into your adjustable drop links , or as @Jellybean has said cut and weld corrected length Meyle ones, or cut Meyles and make them adjustable length.

Or perhaps something like this

"slightly lowered"?? Unless I am completely wrong the distance between the suspension strut and anti roll bar mounting points are the same across all A2 suspension types. If I am wrong please tell me. So the same length drop links are used. Lowered suspensions down to different mounts and springs. If you are going through drop links that fast I would have a very good look at the anti roll bar for wear and failed / poor bushes or damage to the bar. While there check all the lower arm bushes for wear.

Correct, well almost. The 1.2Tdi is completely different!

Some uprated shocks and certainly all coilovers are shorter than the standard shocks and so the gap between the anti roll bar and the mount although staying the same places the anti roll bar closer to the driveshaft if shorter links aren't used.

Been there and wrote the book.

Based on a recommendation I was going to look at these:

Adjustable drop links

The other option I was given was to mount them on the other side of the strut plates but I'm guessing I would get drive shaft fouling rather than chassis ? ?

So just evaluated the required size of drop links as they are needed now versus stock size. I'm somewhat confused I have to say.

I had approx 240mm drop links fitted, with Meyle HD definitely fouling the driveshafts on at least one side. Since I had newly found chassis leg fouling following wishbone replacement (hollow to cast) and new arb bushes I found a new noise emerged which I narrowed down to fouling on the drivers side only. I changed the adjustable drop link bar included with the drop link kit to extend which ends up with the drop link measuring in at 270mm.

Guess what - the Meyle HDs are 270mm in length!

Could I have had a situation where the ARB bushes were so worn that replacement moved the arb to a completely different position??
