My dealer just sent me this. My new wheels have touched UK soil. Will be collecting later this week, very excited

Yep had to have the glass roof after 8 years of the OpenSky.
Thanks on the colour choice too I agree far too many Teutonic monochrome motors around!

Clearly need to learn how to park their cars better.

Not sure I'd be too happy if i saw my newly ordered car stuck halfway up a bank or half on off a mound.

Wouldn't get too worried personally. Some of them look like XC's so that could be as close as they ever get to off road experience!

Nice touch with the covers over the brake discs to stop them rusting in transportation. Might try something like that when i mothball the A2.

They'll all be needing de-waxed etc so any trace of their 'grassy knoll' experience will be steam cleaned away during PDI

Well here it is, my new Volvo, now in my hands.
V40 D2 R-Design with a rather long options list, including the alacantra sports seats and the panoramic roof. Currently with 9 miles on the clock! Hopefully will give me many years of good motoring.

Cheers -I'm really pleased with it so far. Super smooth and quiet, and I think quite distinctive in the rebel blue colour. I had it de-badged at the back (just like my A2 is) for a bit of stealth too.
Highly amused by the fact I can change the colours of the dash from Red (Sport), to Blue (classic) to Green (Eco) and then the displays shown change accordingly.

More like a de-screened broken sky but yes fair point. Still, it shouldn't creak, or leak!

This is an example of why I always say that on an A2 I don't mind a "BrokenSky" because the light it lets in makes the car feel roomy.

As in your case, the solid glass roof makes a huge difference, the fact that it doesn't open is (to me) a very minor thing.
You have the aircon on in hot weather anyway and so shouldn't have the roof open.
