Hello,
going for my first test drive in an A2 next week and am after some advice. I was looking to buy a year old model from Audi until I found Oneswoop.com who can discount 7-9% on Audi prices ( about a grand on a new A2 ). What sort of deals can I expect from Audi, if I showed them a quote from Oneswoop are they likely to match?
What sort of deal can I expect on say a brand new tdi se in dolphin grey.
Any advice or info' greatly recieved,
cheers Benno

I managed to get about 8.8% on mine, but it was a 'paid in full' with no part-ex.

I think that whatever sob story the dealer gives you, there is a good discount to be had. They will give you the usual "well if you buy from here you don't get good service, or buy from here and you don't get the full warranty". At the end of the day they will want your cash and if you do finance you can normally get more due to the finance incentive the dealer gets.

Good luck and enjoy buying your A2!.

IMHO opinion and PREFER not to have the 3 year warranty: they only reason they give you that is so you HAVE to service the car with them... buying from somewhere else just gives you the option to start servicing your car somewhere cheaper sooner...

IMHO better to HAVE the 3-year warranty, but just haggle to get free servicing for 3 years :D

What if you had a MAJOR warranty claim?

I would also apply pressure to try to get free insurance with it...

True - but I guess statistics will show a very low percentage of MAJOR warranty work in the first 3 years...

I could not persuade my local Audi dealer to discount very much on a Tdi so bought a new one from Motorpoint in Burnley. Got a good deal (climate inc) on a car they had brought in from Malta. A2 is rare though at Motorpoint, not a 'bread and butter' car. Obviously, it comes with 2 year pan-european warranty.

My local dealer just wasn’t interested in any other quotes that I showed them, they had a take it or leave it attitude so I left it.

I used the Internet to track down a good deal and in the end got all the toys that I wanted, the colour that I wanted, the model that I wanted and saved an absolute fortune over the original quote that my local shop offered me, especially as they were quoting on the SE and I ending up getting the Sport.

Use the Internet as a positive guide to what is available otherwise you might just think that what is on offer is all that is on offer, for it is easy to think that an Audi dealer is an Audi dealer.
