Genuine A2 spacesaver wheels can be had from Ebay for about the £100-120 mark, which is expensive, but a lot less than from Audi direct.

If you want to get just any old spare wheel, then you need to look for a 5-stud wheel, with a PCD of 100mm (this limits thinkgs to old style A3s and old style TTs) with an offset of around the 35mm mark.

Keep the overall diameter to less than 600mm and you should be fine.

Cheers,

Mike

Mike,

You're starting to repeat yourself!!!

First sign of madness?

In the words of Chris Adamson, Pink Floyd's roadie:
"I've been mad for f*cking years, absolutely years, over the edge for yonks..."

Doesn't show much though!

Thanks Skipton, are all Audi spacesavers the same by any chance??.
Would pref to wait for a spacesaver to come along and get it off ebay as long as it aint to much.
Hopefully all spacesavers are the same.
Regards Andy.

Not having the parts catalogue to hand, I can't say for certain that all space-savers are the same, but I'm 99% sure that they are.

At the risk of repeating myself (!), the 15" and 16" wheels have an overall diameter of 591mm and the 17" wheel has a 596mm diameter, so even if there are separate space-savers, then you can see that the one part will suffice for all standard fitment wheels.

Cheers,

Mike

I think I get ya:)
Found these two on ebay what do you think and if I couldnt get the pref of a spacersaver then what size tyre would I need for the other?.
I dont have a clue about diamiters really unfortunatly.

Sorry I dont understand wheel or tyre sizes:eek:
Have found these two on ebay and defo pref a spacesaver but if not then the other may suffice, though dont know what tyre I would need for this alloy.

The space-saver won't fit, if the size quoted is correct - far too small.

The A3 alloy I'm non too sure about, as no sizes are given - sorry!

Cheers,
Mike
