Stafford Audi - Service

Hi,

I had my car serviced today on a full variable service which I found on ebay, the variable service (£175). There are also a number of others on ebay which might confuse you like it did to me.

Audi service A2, A3, A4, A6 and TT
The £79 is for fixed service, and quick service.

Audi service A2, A3, A4, A6 AND TT - gold
The £189 is for full fixed service.

Audi Variable Service A2, A3, A4, A6, TT four cylinder
The £175 is for a variable long-life service.

When I got there I signed the car over and they completed the service within 4 hours, where in that time they offered me a free lift into Stafford and to pick me up later. I got so bored after a couple of hours, I decided to walk back the 2.6 miles which took about 30 minutes, the service was easy to book in, simple call and quote of the special ebay advert. I was able to drop the car when convenient to me of course in plenty time before they close and if I hadn't of been there before the service was finished they would of called me back when complete. Car washed and hoovered, so far so good.

Stafford services

Interesting to see someone who has tried the Stafford Audi services. I did see there ad on ebay but it claimed four cylinder cars! Mines a three ofcourse being the diesel. I may well give them a go.

Stafford Audi - Service that brings on a smile

Stafford Audi changed my car's cam belt in late August at 80,000 miles - just before its 3rd birthday and 1st MoT. Booked in on a 'while you wait' basis, so I arrived before 9.00 am.
It took far longer than planned because the hydraulic belt tensioner had failed and, being a 1.2TDI, they hadn't one in stock or readily sourceable - Audi factory stock system also showed item on supplier back order!

I therefore spent a very long time looking at new Audi's, drinking coffee and generally relaxing in their showroom and reception area. Would they have to loan me a TTS, RS6 or R8 while the part was sourced from Germany or the supplier network???

They eventually sourced a 'pattern' item that was delivered by 4.00 pm and fitted a replacement water pump while they were at it (I'd asked for this if the original waterpump looked/felt/sounded at all worn). A u/s dip beam headlamp bulb was replaced too.

The price Stafford Audi quoted me to change the cam-belt (£275 all incl) was what I was invoiced for when they finished the job at 5.30 pm. When I queried the bill, they insisted that everything else (hyd tensioner, waterpump, bulb, anti-freeze, labour) was 'foc' because of the time they'd kept me waiting.

I smiled all the way back to Rugby and then onto Cardiff...and all is still AOK! Guess where I'll be taking my A2 for its next Audi dealer variable service!

Not that impressed that they failed to pick up on the engine
mounts, also knowing they took the undertray off so it should have been easy enough to spot and that they did take the vehicle for a test drive.

I did query it at the end and they said nothing was found, also knowing that I had the problem identified by two other specialists previously.

Hi jp.oog
You could always slip accross the border to Aire Valley Workshops on the Snaygill Ind Est, Skipton. They're good and reasonable cost. My engine light has stayed off sice the last visit some months ago and that's a record!

I see several A2's in Colne, is one yours?

i used them to do the cambelt on my RS 6. . .they are fecking cheap, they charged me £850 vs. my local stealer quoted £1800 !!!

I was gonna get em to do the A2 but theyr too far (i live in London) to warrant the trip

but had no problems with the RS

So go on then - quote please for cambelt change, including tensioner, water pump and coolant.

I may well supply the water pump as I believe the Audi parts don't have metal impellers.

Cheers

Mike
