This is a great show that we have been attending for a few years now. it is a really great family show with loads to do and see, set in fabulous surroundings. It is also dog friendly

We have a Club stand arranged which can accommodate a maximum of 20 cars. We have always filled our allocation, so please do complete the RSVP above if you want to be on the Club stand (if we do run out, you can still attend, but wouldn't be able to park on the Club stand). Please note if you are bringing more than one car, please indicate on the RSVP

The cost is £12 per adult and children 15 and over. Children 14 and under go free. It is pay on arrival
Its a great family show with loads to see set in great grounds.

Details of the show can be found here--https://www.stanfordhallvw.com

Those of us who don't want a super early start, the Premier Inn Rugby seems to have rooms available for the 21st (we normally use the Holiday Inn, but it is full. https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/warwickshire/rugby/rugby-north-m6-jct1.html

The hotel is a good meeting up point in the morning for people travelling on the day, enabling us to travel to the show as a group and hand out passes (required to gain entry via club stand entrance). We usually meet up from 9am, heading off to the show about 9.40 ish. I will be able to post out club stand passes to anyone unable to meet up.

NB: we understand that all the moment the show is planned to go ahead on this date. A final decision whether to go ahead, will be made in July so if booking a hotel room, it may be best to book one with free cancellation or amendment (most chains are offering this as standard at the moment)
I must stress that your car does not need to be 'show condition' to be on the Club stand or attend any A2 events. As long as it is an A2, it is very welcome :)

Hi everyone, just an update - at the moment, this show is still planning to go ahead, with a final decision made after Boris' decision during w/c 12th July on lifting all restrictions from 19th july. If the restrictions are lifted, it will go ahead ?

I do very much hope so T, this is a cracking show set within a lovely back-drop, and is credit to the organisers @sciroccorrado and co.

Will Audis in the park be affected by the Boris decision as well?
Audis in the Park have already built in lots of precautions such as sanitiser points and because it's such a big plot, social distancing is pretty easy if needed ?

Good to hear, thanks Teresa. Both myself and my wife are very much looking forward to it.

Quick update - it looks like Stanford Hall will be ON! Will confirm later. We have space on our stand for 20 cars, so should be space available - please click the rspv above to book on.
Just checking the holiday inn and it seems to be booked up, so will research another hotel today and post details tonight

Morning Teresa,

I’m seriously considering this show with both the 250 and OEM A2s along with the whole family. Just need to do some itinerary juggling before I register as we have friends staying with us over that weekend. I’ll confirm attendance soon as I understand their (our guests) thoughts on joining us on this show.

Lutterworth is only 45 minutes away so will simply drive down early on the Sunday. After reading the shows pages I’ve not yet come across any timings. Do you know what time we’d need to be there to get our A2s parked up on the stand.

Edit: My tentative response is now a full up yet. Just me, myself and I in Project OEM. The remainder of the household might join us later in the day in Project 250.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi, we normally meet up about 9 am to get to the show about 9.40 But I can post out club passes to anyone who isn't able to meet up, so they can join us on the Club stand later in the day if necessary

Hi Teresa,

Just re-read the first post. Brain like a sieve sometimes. I’ll meet up at the Premier Inn at 0900 on the day to collect passes and join the convoy.

Kind regards,

Tom

Unfortunately we've had to cancel Stanford Hall as the risks to our volunteers were felt to be too great.

Full statement here...

Stanford Hall 2021 Update

Due to the current situation and after much consideration the Leicestershire and Warwickshire VW Owners’ Club have made the difficult decision to cancel our Stanford Hall Show on Sunday 22 August 2021.

The show is run by a small group of volunteers and our main concern has always been the safety and welfare of our members and visitors.

Due to the continued uncertainty and rising COVID infection rates, the committee decided we will not hold the show this year.

We realise this will be a disappointment (as it has been for our members) but we hope to hold the show on our normal bank holiday weekend – Sunday 1 May 2022.

Our managers will be in contact with all those with a booking and we will of course offer full refunds, or the chance to roll bookings over to next year.

We hope you can understand and appreciate our difficult and disappointing decision and we look forward to welcoming you at our event in 2022.

Afternoon Jeremy,

This is a shame but fully understand the collective decision. There is always next year when things are, fingers crossed, safer for all concerned.

Kind regards,

Tom

Oh what a shame, but very understandable. It's probably too soon for something of that scale with the rising infection rate again. I hope AITP doesn't now do the same thing, albeit that's a much smaller affair.
