Stepping back from A2s (but not totally)

Thanks for all your efforts and contributions over the years Steve. You've helped make the A2OC what it is today.

Steve we never met.....yet! Your posts have helped me a great deal, so hope you stick around and we get the chance to meet. These A2’s get under your skin!
Picking up my 3rd Tuesday, although have sold No. 2

Indeed they do get under your skin and quite rightly too. They are amazing cars and I cannot go "cold turkey" so I will be around anyway.

Yes Steve you have been an inspiration and tireless promoter of the A2. And I think you have helped many people into the A2 world with your restoration work. I'm sure it will not be too long before you return.

Good luck Steve. Your knowledge and enthusiasm for the 'original baby Audi' will be sorely missed. Why don't you post up some how to's before you throw yourself into your smart car modifications. You know you want to. :)

Lol. Nice one.

If I had the space and energy for a project it would be an A2 project. My car is currently just to get me to work and park easily.

I won’t abandon A2s. But for now I an so busy at work that I don’t have time or Soave or money for a project.

Steve, you must be getting withdrawal symptoms by now. You need a project! Now you have a Smart then you can get some inspiration from this guy who has modified one to have gull-wing doors, a "Bic capacitor" (whatever that is!), coffee machine, touch screens, Alexa controls and a few floppies for a retro look!

I’ve been in a gullwing Smart roadster. A friend runs an indy Smart specialist garage up here.

if anyone is interested there is a good Smart modifications and repair website called Evilution. Paywall now for advanced items but a very good help.

My favourite was the Starbug Smart car in Red Dwarf - back to Earth. Hilarious!
