Strathconon highland games sat 28th July

A2oc goes to Strathconon highland games.

So if you want a fun day out come and join me at the games. Opening Ceremony 12 noon with The hill race to commence soon after. I plan to be there from 11am. Look for the guy with the crystal blue a2 wearing A2oc baseball cap and jacket.

sounds like a great day out david it will be good for our scottish members to have an a2oc event in their country. The closest we have done was last year at the lakes.

Strathconon?

Phones are pretty dodgy up there until you get to the village,
I think o2 and Voda used to be ok,but anything else forget it.

try leaving the glen via driving over the Dam for a change, If I can do it in a tanker I'm sure your A2 will manage.
If youve not done it before,it brings you out at the Achilty Hotel in Contin.

Shame it was not in early May as we always have a weeks holiday in Achiltibuie and almost pass the doorstep on the way up

Thank for the tip Roy. My mum has moved up there from Lyme Regis dorset, so from one end of the country to the other! It's my first trip up so I am sure I will get the full tour

From what she said they don't get mobile reception at the house so I did not want people try to get hold of me and wonder why they could not get me.

Sorry Spike I don't have any imput on when it's on but even if I asked them to move it to May. I don't think they would listen to me being from south of the border
