Streamlined?

Thats obscene!
Can anyone tell which country its from, from the plates?
Surely not EU?

Ian (the guy who took the photo) said he saw it in Switzerland. He thought it was the back-end of a vintage car before realising what it was attached to!

He built it himself? Actually I'm going to allow myself to be a bit impressed, and I guess it makes more sense than a roof-box in terms of space and fuel consumption. Still wouldn't use it myself though!

I'm allowing myself to be a little impressed too, since he used the rear tow bar rather than some crude drilling into the rear wing/bumper. I suppose if you have to tow something additional to boot space, you could do it this way, saving fuel at the same time... Still, I'd want a paper bag over my face like phil said!

Edit: Just saw it is a 3L, so this is in fact a car that carries 4 adults with all luggages and can do ~100mpg! The removable part is excellent too, meaning you'd only need a paper bag over your face when this box is needed :)
