Information Stuck Drive Shaft

Hi

Need to change wheel bearings and drive shaft is stuck on my 02 Audi - any suggestions? Thanks

You can rent them if you are down south.
This will get your bearing out/ in and will be in one piece and serviceable

Just had exactly same problem on mine.
Mot garage said they could fix but couldnt and so advised 2nd hand hub
So as time was running out or me i took it to skoda and audi. 500 quoted from audi for a new wheel bearing
222 from skoda
Skoda got back to me and stated that they could not remove the bearing as it had fused in and that they had damaged a universal joint getting it off so new hub and joint and rubber shroud fitted for you guessed it 500 gbp

God only knows what it wouldve cost fom audi


Bet solution is to get a hub complete from a breaker imo

The problem with getting a hub from a breaker is that the bearing may be no good anyway. The bearings are about 60 pounds new, but you do need the special tools to replace it without damage. I replaced one of mine last year and it was pretty easy.
