Hi all
Have done a number of repairs to our old second hand TDi in order to get it up to scratch. There are still a couple of niggles though.
One is the clutch. When pressing the pedal down (and sometimes bringing it back up) a gentle sucking noise (not a squeaking noise or a mooing noise) can be heard. The gears and clutch seem to work fine (apart from the gearstick rattling in neutral at idle but that is a separate issue) and perhaps I am being paranoid about nothing - but experience has taught me that an unexplained noise is usually precursor to trouble!
Could anyone put me out my misery and perhaps explain what this noise might be?
