Welcome to the forum Joey.

It might be worth trying VAG parts. www.vagparts.com but I'd imagine a sunroof frame would be quite bulky and expensive to ship to Hong Kong
They used to offer a discount for members of the club but I'm not sure where we stand on that anymore?

HEY Joey Welcome to the forum indeed
you must be our most remote member an A2 in
Hong Kong WOW i bet that turns heads ......

Jimbob i actually live in Swindon which is where vagparts
is based so i could find out if we still get the club discount ....

Excellent, although I'm not technically a member having only joined this year I think being co-owners might mean we get the discount :)

I Keep meaning to go down vagparts and get some S-Line badges
i will have to ask if they would ship to Hong Kong on the sunroof .....

There was something in posted many moons ago, which may still be in the archive, about OpneSky occasionally getting out of alignment. This does not mean a new frame but the dealer requires a very large jig (said to be almost as big as the car) to re-set the roof correctly and aparantly not all dealrs have them.

You might want to ask your dealer a few more questions about exactly what the problem is.

I try to use my limit English to describe the problem.
One day, I open it complete without any problem, But
when I close it to about 90%, I hear a sound "click".
Than it won't close anymore.
I try to open again, Is only leftside has power,I need to use my hand to assist on rightside.Than I close again, bothside is fine until 90% close.

Garage said the problem is at the right side.
One of the parts which is connect with the first piece of window and the wire was not working.
When the wire turn(power but the motor) that parts didn't follow it to move back & forward.
They said if I can just find that parts. I don't need to change the whole frame.

Many thanks everybody here to help to check on www.vagparts.com

The obvious answer seems to be, if it's under warranty, get them to fix it.

If it's not under warranty, then you will have to dig deep I'm afraid. Only about 10% of A2s had the Open Sky option, so they are very rare in the breakers yards/auto salvage companies.

I will send you a copy of the part numbers associated with the roof, if you wish, but I can't send you a diagram - unfortunately, ETKA doesn't allow printing off of its diagrams.

It may be worth your while to get a copy of this (ETKA is the Audi parts catalog) and ELSA (the workshop manual) from me. See my posting in the for sale section, or PM me.

Hi Joey

I dug out an old magazine which featured the development of the A2 and noted the sunroof is supplied to Audi by the German division of Arvin Meritor
(www.arvinmeritor.com) You could try contacting them direct and explain the situation. As Audi do not list the spare part and the car is no longer in production there is a very slim chance they may supply you or your Audi dealer direct.

Cheers Spike
