TDi 75 engine mounts

An easy question for somebody who has seen a few if these. Are covered TDi engine mounts surprisingly floppy?

I can't find any cracks or splits ond it appears to be full of liquid still. It is so floppy there is wear to the inside of the cover where the rubber side buffers contact the cover:

Could the buffers retain the engine and the floppy bit in the middle is just a damper?

All the ones I have had my hands on have had about a cm of movement in all directions. Unlikely that they have all be worn. I would imagine its to reduce the vibration of the 3 unbalanced 3 pot.

Thanks Steve, this one I have also has about a cm in all directions. Never come across anything like it and I did think it may be a three pot thing. Ill get it cleaned up and back in the car.

Easy enough to change once back in the car if you can get hold of a spare just to see if it makes a difference.
