Thanks for the pointers,i need to search more on A2OC to find the answers as i am sure they are all there, i think i am getting a bit "twitchy" about picking up the A2 next weekend over a 100 mile trip so i bet i will be tapping the dash thinking the fuel gauge is stuck on the way home, we have a civic 1.8 VTI S which we have px for the A2 and that thing drinks! so it will be a change not to see the fuel needle move as fast as the rev counter.

Thanks again
to you all

The one thing i would recomend is a remap it is well worth the money, i had mine for 18 months before i got round to it, kept reading about it on here and so i went to Stealth, the remap just makes it feel like a different car it really is that good

You want regret your buy i went from a 1.8 ford focus and i've never looked back

Cheers Phil

Remap

I am very intersted in getting the car on the "REDBULL" :D i found a post by Dan who i think used a company in Banbury where i am so i will look into that, how long a job is it and do you have any idea's on costs?

Cheers Paul

Time will vary according to whether the remap you have done includes setting up using a rolling road in the garage. (rolling road seems to produce the best all round set up results) Anyway, it should not take more than a couple of hours. Theres nothing physical done to the car after all - the engines brain is being re-configured :D
I'm not sure of Stealth's charges, but the folk that do remaps around me charge between £300 and £400.

Try a Google and a search on the forum - this matter is well documented on here and I'm sure charges have been discussed before. Many websites of dealers offering ECU remapping post their scale of charges too, as well as estimated gains in BHP/Torque.

Bear in mind (especially on a car with a few miles) that a remap can focus on some existing wear and tear issues with the car - e.g. a worn clutch.
