I know this has been discussed in the past as I have read all previous posts, but there really isn't really a set way to resolve the AM\FM poor reception issue. Therefore, I wanted to know what people thought about an idea I have had to install a new external amplified aerial bypassing the original Audi install one. One concern I have is how an external aerial will look but I think if I get a small bee-sting one it might look ok.

The aerial I am thinking of is the Bee Sting Amplified from...

Opinions greatly appreciated.

I think you will find it has to be installed of centre of the roof due to the ribs running down it; unless somebody knows of an adaptable base unit that is deep and flexible enough to allow for these ribs. I have the same problem with mine, & am getting my dealer to look at with various other radio related problems, ie CD player upping volume by itself, unit switching itself off & back on, total failure requiring code to be re entered etc.
[9]oops whilst washing the 'eggbert' tonight noticed there isn't a rib running on the centre line, please let me know how you go on.
