Car looks beautiful menno ..those wheels really suit the car apart from my winter A8s these are my second favourite by a mile ..what is the part number I will have to look out for some ..?

Sorry if I’m being dense but assume a spacer pushes the wheel further from the hub? If so does that mean the car has a wider stance?
Yes and yes.
The A6 pepperpot has a specification of 7Jx16 ET45. If you used a 25mm spacer the offset then changes to ET20. If you then fitted 205/45R16 tyres they would be 18mm further out than the standard 205/40R17 tyres on 7Jx17 ET38 rims. You would get severe rubbing and the tyre is unlikely to fit within the bodywork so would be illegal.

I think the word ‘spacers’ needs to be amended to ‘adapters’. They will act as a spacer but the bigger issue is the stud pattern is wrong which is why you need them. The wheels I’m running require them.
