Evening Paul,

Yes these wheels look great. Not fitting to the A2 until it’s wearing the Votex kit.

There is a set currently available on eBay.de right now for not a lot of money and seriously considering buying them. I have already spoken to the seller and he is unable to send them to me in the UK due to him recently having implications with the customs paperwork. I have approached Rick to possibly assist who could buy them and bring to the UK on his visit.

Seriously tempted in a second set for a certain Β£250 A2.

Kind regards,

Tom
Yes I’ve seen those Tom ? if Rick can help out there what a cheap set ..wish you luck ?.

Steve, it was actually your photo from much earlier in the thread that convinced me to go with the Eros wheels when I saw them show up on eBay. I think they look great. Got a bit of white worm to get rid of but otherwise all good! Ride is so much better than the buckled old 17s.

I used paint stripper on the rims of mine to remove the lacquer for the same reason. I then polished them to a mirror finish with a polishing kit.

3 Weeks into A2 world and I had to try 15" wheels and more tyre for comfort. What a change to the car. I got a set of MSW Oz 19 wheels with Dunlop winter tyres (185-60-15) locally from a guy who had them on his wife's 2014 Polo and I'm delighted. Just done it's next thousand miles and loving it. The original Gunmetal 16" SE wheels it came with will get tidied up then stored I guess. I was surprised I hadn't seen the gunmetal originals on this thread.

I'm not a fan of aftermarket wheels but I have to admit they do look nice and suit the A2 well and are actually very similar to a set of A1 wheels.

FYI the 16" SE wheels were only available in silver so if yours are gunmetal they will have been refinished in that colour.

I hope you continue to enjoy your comfortable new ride πŸ‘

There seems to be few good 15" original sets around for sale so it was what was available at a decent price. Thanks for the gunmetal info as they do look original. Now I know why!

Very nice! Do the tyres rub by any chance?
Thanks
Nothing appears untoward so far. I used the Wheel-size.com comparitor and there is little difference between the two. But now that you've asked the question I'll keep an ear out in extremes.
ClearanceWheel 1Wheel 2
SuspensionAssuming that this is OE wheel/tire and there are no any problems with clearance on both sides100% clear (leaves even more room than OE)
FendersAssuming that this is OE wheel/tire and there are no any problems with clearance on both sidesThe tire will stick out 4 mm farther. Rim will stick out 4 mm farther. Acceptable for most cars
Wheel WellsAssuming that this is OE wheel/tire and there are no any problems with clearance on both sidesWheel fills out the wheel well by extra 6 mm. Acceptable for most cars
BrakesAssuming that this is OE wheel/tire and there are no any problems with clearance on both sidesRim diameter is less than OE. Make sure that you have enough room for brakes inside the rim.
Scrub RadiusZero scrub radius (zero value is assumed by default)Positive scrub radius (about 2 mm). Almost no difference. Please be aware that calculated value is approximate.

Azev Type U "Noblo" (Gunmetal) 7x17 Offset 35

Incredibly heavy at 19kg incl. 205/40 Goodyears but imho looks pretty cool especially on a Storm.
(Just not great for gravel roads as the middle is wider than the tires and chips easily πŸ˜…)

Hi. Something a bit different!. Subaru, Few slight mods due to the offset etc.
7x17 et48. Also centre bore is 1mm smaller. Rears fit on fine , no contact anywhere, however fronts foul the caliper so will require small spacer , will post new pic when fully sorted.
