Delete if not allowed here, but my last car before my V70 was my old trusty B5 Passat,(very similar engines to our A2, but a pot missing)..I did 287k...Same clutch,only normal servicing and 56 ish mpg...not bad for an estate...I hope my wee A2 gives as much loyal service as my Passat..P.D Engines are very good...

This thread's for A2s. My Passat 130PD had similar mileage when I sold it on, still going strong! And my A5 had 215k on the clock when it was rear-ended, I'd only just had a service too

Today's posts on the 200k club thread prompted a thought.

I have realised that on my current retired annual mileage of 5k I will be aged 92 when I join the club, the A2 will 38 years old and it will be year 2043 when ICE cars are banned. Have to convert to electric to reach 200k but that bars me anyway and with inevitable decrease in annual mileage I will well over 100 years old and A2 Steve will drawing his pension.

Don't think I will make it.

As of today, there is 228001 miles (not Kms) on the clock. I can provide a picture if you want.
