i found on my local market whit 170. this model.

"not to many kilometers on it." they were built for long distance and long term useage - of the 6000 produced mosrt are still running!

Worth buying a higher mileage example as long as it has a FSH
 
I know this is an old thread, but I've only just discovered it and thought others may enjoy it too! It is probably the best advert for @timmus work that I can think of, and has left me virtually foaming at the mouth to get similar modifications done to both our A2s (yes, His'n'Hers) when I can afford it! 😍

I have mounted 193b and it makes no difference if I am on gale 1 or 5?

Sounds like it could mean a version of the later RNS-E PU, with the serial number ending in 193B. @timmus or @2work will probably know the answer to this one.

I guess the 193B to be a RNS-E PU also. Neils @NielsOe do you have Bose.

Also when the RNS-E PU was retrofitted, was it connected to the instrument cluster to obtain the single wire speed signal.

The mounted 193b, which the previous owner has retrofitted, apparently works as it should.
With the exception of the gala.
I now understand that a connection must be mounted on the blue wire in no. 3 in the instrument panel, but I do not understand where it must be connected to?
Is it my poor school English?

Hi Niels.

The connection should be made to the V-Signal on the RNS-E which is Pin #3 on the B connector:

The other member Ian @progound mentions is @timmus who probably helped Alex in Copenhagen. He is yet another Tom, too many Tom’s on here and it can get confusing at times.

Good luck with sorting the Gala issue, I’m here in the background should you require any further assistance.

One momentary tap on the indicator stalk results in the indicators flashing three times. It's hugely convenient for coming off roundabouts, changing lanes on the motorway, etc. It's a feature of more modern Audis and VWs that can be retrofitted to the A2.

And I think in Spain for one, it's an offence if the indicators don't flash at least 3 times, an on the spot fine.
Thoroughly worthwhile having it fitted (thanks Tom)

I noticed the other day that the outside mirror started to turn down towards the curb when I went into reverse. And turned up again when I select forward ???
I don't think I've seen that before. And now it doesn't do it anymore?????
Are they my CCM that are broken?
Furthermore, there is no more remote control - when I unlock the door with the key, it will often, but not always, close again unprovoked.
Sometimes it is the new color DIS cluster which flashes unstably but calms down when I drive

Don’t get me started on Spanish drivers and indicators - you’ll be lucky to see 3 flashes let alone 1 in my experience! 😂
