The Definitive Alloy Wheel Picture thread (Alloys)

That's a very handsome wheel" Obviously forged, unlike the A3 Pepperpots (the subject of another thread at the moment).

The a3 pepperpots are forged and there are references to this all over the internet.

Previously had the 16' 6 Spoke but saw a lot of A2 in Germany wearing 16 Sport wheels from an A1 and thought they looked the business. I found on the 6 spoke the chrome on the centre caps kept corroding very quickly and at £140 a set it was getting ridiculous. I picked these mint wheels up for £120 so it was a no brainer and I think they make the car look more planted even though suspension is standard

Yes thanks they are I have had them on watch for best part of a year but I like the idea of re- drilling and not using converters for the different hole pitch my mate could do that on his jig borer ...they are never a cheap set .

Here's mine;

They are very nice and forged, indeed Audi A8 "winterfelgen".
Bought them of a guy who had them on his mk2 Golf, and therefore already drilled/milled to 5x100.
They where painted in a sort of dark blue but not very nice painted.....
So, sanding and sanding, then spayed them in a sort of Audi Grey color (my colleagues are asking if they're made of plastic....?) with clear lacquer on top.
Very light too, run them with 195/50-16.

Do you want to sell them ? love the colour ...I saw a lovely Porsche in same ..

Out of interest, has anyone fitted (or spotted) rota wheels on an A2? The 17” versions look suitable techy enough, and they’re available in a 5x100 spec.

Hello guys
I’m looking for a set of wheels for my TDI 75 and I was thinking In 18” with 225-40-18
My suspension is stock ...maybe later a set of springs ... will the 18” wheel set scrub my arches ??
thank you

Hi,
You need to fit 215 35 18 tyres onto 18's to get them to fit with stock suspension, I had R32 alloys on my last A2 it makes the ride a bit harsh but looks really good.
