Things that cause an FSI Engine Management Light to come on

It should be called the EMM light - it needs Even More Money

Had my TDIs now for nearly 4 years and never seen the eml light once I scan them every few months but never finds anything except rear door will desafe. All doors lock and unlock as they should so it can stay as it is
Best of luck in the garage
Cheers. Paul

Had another new one at the weekend. - changing driver!
I drove to Rugby for the weekend and most of the way home. Was getting a bit tired near Thetford, so pulled into a lay by to let Gary drive. I didnt even turn the engine off, but as soon as he sat down, the EML was on 😞
When you had the manifold work done, did you, or the mechanic, run the adaptation using VCDS?
Mac.

I think so, but it was a while ago. I do know that he had a good nosey on here. Would my vcds be able to tell? She does go months without her light now

The code/codes would not tell if it was done, but will give a good clue.

Just had a look. There were 3. Exhaust gas temp sensor intermittedn. Cat system below threshold intermittent and air intake system leak intermittent.
Did wonder if the last one was to do with the oil filler on the engine being loose?
Will see if they come back on the trip to Scotland tomorrow

At least it doesn'took related to manifold/flaps.
V-Power rules OK 👌💰
