Thought I would say Hi

Pugliese

A2OC Donor
Not been on here for many months/years and some of you older members will remember my highly spec'd yellow Colourstorm.

I have been close to selling a couple of times but couldn't bring myself to do so, as I still love everything about the car. It is now used whenever we need to go out with 3 or more adults or move something large, as the daily driver is now a TTRS - a bit of a contrast, but still love driving the A2.

So having just treated the RS to a Gtechniq C1 coat followed by 2 coats of Exo 3, I have decided the A2 now needs some TLC. Most jobs I can do but the only negative in the car is the AC control buttons that are badly worn. During my absence, has a solution been found for this problem that looks good?

Welcome back and glad to hear that you haven't succumbed to sell the A2, many regret that move, myself included of my first example.

Any pictures of both cars - the TTRS is a lovely looking car and must be a cracking drive.

In regards to your question, moving away from the stickers, there are two main options. Replacing the entire unit, with early hard-touch examples or good condition soft-touch units or replacing just the switches with those of compatible units. The early A4 being one such example.

Steve B has produced a guide here which may be useful if you don't wish to remove the unit.

Cheers,

Darren

Great Thanks

Here are a couple of pics ..... once the A2 has had the treatment I will post some more
