Hello all.

Thought I'd say hi and join the forum before my purchase of an A2.

Having owned a Toyota Supra for few years now, I'm now parting from her and looking around for an A2. (Avatar pic is my soon to go pride :( )
Myself and wife have always liked the look of the A2 from day zero, so when it came to the harsh choice of getting rid of the Sup for something a little cheaper to run, the little A2 came to mind again.
My wife owns a Blue Nissan Figaro (another slightly impractical car) I think she will be looking forward to having a spin in the soon to be new motor (she would not drive the Sup :p not a bad thing really :D )

Anyways, enough of my babble. If anyone has a nice A2 with sunroof and low miles which they wish to sell, then please get in touch.
I've been eyeing up a couple on Autotrader, so see how goes.

Hi Jim..

Firstly welcome to the club..

Secondly .. very nice supra.. must be a hard having to let her go!.

Thirdly.. good choice with an A2 i bought mine last weekend and love it.. the build quality is one thing you will find the best , even compared to the supra which isnt bad for a Jap car (previously had a T88 supra - are you on MKIV?)

Cheers

hey jim,

hi and welcome . . . great choice with the A2 (have parted from my TT and I have to say that once you own an audi, you're smitten!), and good luck in your hunt - be patient and Im sure you'll get what you want especially with help from this forum!

(hmmm says me afte 2/3 months of looking, but then again Im perhaps too picky!)

Cheers for now

Welcome to the forum.

We might have a car you're interested in.
1.4 SE Petrol.
Black with red leather, 20,000 miles, 53 plate.
Open-sky, climate, 6 CD, plus a few other options.
Full Audi service history.

If this sounds like the kind of thing you're after, let me know.

Ah Supras - I had two of the first ones, mid 80s ones, loved them, there I was aged 18 going sideways around everything, second one I had was the one with Lotus suspension, but it just rotted away in front of my eyes, always fancied getting one like yours, good luck.

Cheers guys for the nice welcome :)

I really dont want to get rid of the Supra but needs must. I've had many people mess me around the last few weeks, even to the point that I thought it was going to go last Friday, but to no avail. Real shame as mine really is a cracking example (then again I'm sure we all say that about our cars :D )
Here's a little linky if you wish to see more - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/147056.htm

Even though I've not clinched a sale as yet, I've been doing much research on the A2, even to the point of having a little look at a lovely one in the weekend. Mmmmmm!!!! I REALLY LIKE, as much as I will miss my baby, I'm really looking forward to a new one ;)

GordR -
yep with the mkivsupra.net club,I'm known on there as - mrsupra

ULP -
I agree on the 3000GTO, one of my mates had one....lets say £4000 and few weeks of ownership..he dont own it now.

lyndonbuck - you can't beat a little bit of side action. Really wish I had the money to keep the Sup and have an A2 :(

Thought I'd post back on this thread and say; HELLO I'M NOW AN A2 OWNER :)

Yep sold the Supra Saturday and purchased a lovely little A2 Sunday. I'm very pleased (but missing me Sup)

It's a very dark Blue (almost black), cream interior, sunroof, CD symphony sound system (very impressed by the sound) only done 22,000 miles on a 2001 plate.
Few scuffs on both bumpers, will get them sprayed at some point, but apart from that, really good condition :D .

Will post pics soon.

Jim

Wow, hows about that. Someone just up the road from me just bought an A2 too. I put the deposit on mine today, 2001 X plate 1.4 Tdi SE with leather, opensky, Bose (and probably a few other things I didn't notice), and with 39000 on the clock. Can't wait to pick her up on Saturday. Congrats on your purchase, and hi to all the Forum members. :)

Thanks for the link, I was searching for that last night :) . Blimey, what an options list! £4238 of options so far, and I didn't look to see if it had DIS or dipping mirror etc. Don't think I got a bad deal then ;)
