Three beeps & a flashing parking brake symbol?

Started the car up after a jet wash & it beeped three times & displays what looks like a flashing parking brake symbol - any one any ideas what this indicates?

Hoped it might just be dampness related due to the jet washing, but a night drying out in the garage hasn't cured it. The ABS light now stays lit after the car has started, but the three beeps & flashing symbol only happen 5-60 seconds after driving the car off.

Borrowed a lead (thanks chb) & scanned the fault codes using VCDS-Lite & this is what I found:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 01: Engine Labels: 045-906-019-AMF.LBL
Controller: 045 906 019 G
Component: 1,4l R3 EDC G000SG 1281
Coding: 00002
Shop #: WSC 02138
WAUZZZ8ZZ1N037037 AUZ7Z0Y1744684
1 Fault Found:
18043 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from A/C Controller
P1635 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: N/A

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: Redir Fail!
Controller: 8Z0 907 379 B
Component: ESP 20 CAN V015
Coding: 10758
Shop #: WSC 00000
2 Faults Found:
00283 - Front Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G47)
16-10 - Signal Outside Specifications - Intermittent
00283 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
04-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

So I cleared the faults & set off for a drive, but the dreaded three beeps returned :(

I've found a description of the first one, P1635, on DTCSearch which says
Number: P1635
Type: Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled
Description: CAN data bus, AC - no signal
Cause: AC control module trouble code(s) stored, wiring, matching resistor in ECM

& the second one on the Ross-Tech wiki
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47)
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47): Signal Outside Specifications
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47): Electrical Fault in Circuit
Possible Causes

* Open Circuit in Wiring from/to ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47)
* ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47) faulty

Possible Solutions

* Check Wiring from/to ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47)
* Check ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47)

The first one I don't have a clue about - can anyone shed any light on it?

The second one seems straightforward enough - check the wiring to the ABS sensor & if no fault there, the ABS sensor itself needs replacing. Anyone have any tips on the best/easiest way to do either?

Regarding the ABS fault.

I had a similar problem with my off side wheel. It turned out to be the lead going to the sensor had some damage. The damage is caused by the tyre rubbing the lead when on full lock. It is easily and cheaply fixed with a soldering iron.

Good luck.

Yeah it could be the jet wash pressure just did enough to finally kill off the damaged ABS sensor cable.

The other one, could also be that the jet wash has blasted some water into the wiring for the air conditioning compressor, or even knocked the wiring out? Just a thought. Jet washes can be an issue with electrics I've seen that on other, albeit older, cars in the past.

If it happens after car wash, could be ABS sensor short circuit. I had similar expireince. You will find some description in other thread

Replace ABS sensor asap
