Hello to all A2OC members in Italy.
In May, I will be visiting your fantastic country. On Saturday 16th, I start a week-long holiday in the Italian Prealps, which finishes in Bergamo on Sunday 24th. I will then fly home. During this time, I will be on holiday, so I won't be able to work on any A2s. However, my outward flight to Italy has not yet been booked, meaning that I can fly to anywhere in Italy on any date before Saturday 16th May. The date of my departure from the UK, and my first destination in Italy, depends entirely on how many of you would like my services.
As most A2OC members are aware, I offer an A2 upgrade service. Hundreds and hundreds of A2s within the club have had upgrades added by me. There are countless threads on A2OC by various members documenting the work I've done for them. I can retrofit, to factory standard, all the optional extras that were available from new, with the exception of OpenSky and climate control. I also offer various upgrades that were not available from the factory, such as Colour DIS, RNS-E SatNav, etc, as well as other electronic services such as immobiliser work, central locking repairs, software tweaks/updates, etc.
We would be here for a long time if I listed everything I can do to an A2, but your choices include cruise control, DIS trip computer, Colour DIS, Bose premium sound system, heated seats, electric lumbar support, rear electric windows, multifunction steering wheels (of various designs), double-DIN dash, RNS-E integrated SatNav, Bluetooth phone integration, SDS voice control, komfortblinker, auto-dimming rear view mirror, OEM parking sensors, headlight washers, SideGuard curtain airbags, front fog lights, twin rear fog lights, twin interior boot lights, etc. If you've seen it in an A2, I can add it.
Of course, some upgrades are more difficult to do internationally. Although I am able to bring many necessary parts with me, some upgrades will require that the necessary parts are purchased in Italy before my arrival. For instance, in May 2019, I installed rear electric windows in an A2 in Rome. The wiring looms were manufactured in the UK and travelled with me, but the large parts (such as the window frames) were purchased in Italy. I also did a cruise control installation in Napoli, for which I supplied all the necessary parts. Therefore, depending on which upgrades you would like, some planning may be required.
Please let me know, as soon as possible, if you would like a visit. I also need to plan my transport and accommodation, which can get complicated!
