To fuse or not to fuse?

I'm currently changing the seats over to the the sports type with electric lumbar adjustment. I've read the details on other posts regarding routing of the wiring and where to find a permanently live supply. My one question is: does the new wiring 'loom' to the lumbar connectors need to be fused, or will the existing fused circuit protect it sufficiently?

Personally I would. Arrange 1 fuse to cover the supply to both seats. 10A will give sufficient protection.

I did this recently and took the power from the ‘lighter socket’ in the centre console and put an inline fuse 10amp accessible through the rear removable storage tray/cubby, easy to run the loom under the carpet to the seats.
