Do not think that is paractical, there is a fairly thick lead that screws into the rear of the unit. Even with all the cassette mechanism out do not think enough room plus you would have to get the cable out of the stereo. Sorry great idea just think you will struggle for internal space.

Hit a milestone of sorts today, heading towards the 600 on a tankful, so far got 581 with about 20% left in the tank, so should have no troubles. The DIS was displaying between 74 and 78mpg, and at some points I had a potential range of 800 miles...

So today I..,
Started prepping the key parts for Basil well overdue suspension rebuild , and 312 mm brake upgrade
So , managed to obtain the right hub and wheel bearing , fitted the wheel bearing into the hub and give the assembly a couple of coats of black paint
For the consuls , got a local chap to press out end old TCA Rear bush , and press in new ones , the old bushes looking to be very good , but if your going to do the job , do it right !
Cleaned up the consuls , and applied a lick of paint , plus 2 coats of clear lacquer, after careful masking off all the bolt , and mounting faces
Very please with my steps so far , Basil is gong to look nice and clean on the underside as he heads for 200k..

... collected a sibling for Buzz. Just finished mechanical cut and quick polish as it was looking a bit unloved. Wheel change and interior detail tomorrow.
