Today I.....

I've been driving past an A2 with custom reg plate in Bournemouth, which hasn't moved for a while, at least looks like it. Just checking not stolen. Reg: A2 NYD
A2 NYD is showing it to be a silver peugeot tax & mot until november 2020, checked it on two web sites.

Thanks, just ordered some ?
But 4 litres isn't enough or is there a difference between petrol and diesel oil capacity.
I get mine from here.

On Friday, Gracie (ex @sciroccorrado ‘s Csi90) got a shiny new MOT certificate, no advisories. Result!!! Dampened only by a rather expensive and extensive major service at the same time. It’s been a busy few days for her as the previous week she got a new selector tower and extensive fettling on the gearbox, as well as a new thermostat and temperature sender (thanks @Ian Bigg for a thorough job) which massively improved the very obstructive gearchange - it still baulks occasionally but the difference is night and day - and now the temperature gauge always goes up to 90 and stays there. Too early to say whether it’s improved fuel consumption.

Onwards past 150,000 miles....

@Cenick looks like you have found a way to turn on the front fogs without any side or headlights. Always thought switch had to be rotated to side or headlights before you could pull it out to fog lights.

This was with the auto Bluetooth set to testing mode, I think it may allow for side and fog lights on together normally but would have to confirm that.

Spent my day working with my A2 very rusty rear drum brakes ? Removed the rust and painted them with heat resistant paint. Looks so much better. This was also the first ''big'' thing I have done to my new (and first) car. Next thing to do will be cleaning the throttle body, maybe next weekend.

I suggest you carry a breaker and wheel socket with you and check the security of the wheel bolts from time to time. The paint where the wheel sits can wear, the bolts come loose and the wheels can come off.
Once had a Merc recovered because I'd lost two bolts and the wheel was wobbling around, all because I fitted a wheel over paint.

And now the ride is transformed by going from 17" to 15" (this was mainly down to the poor state of the cheap tyres the car came with). The Longbeach alloys work for me. Courtesy of ebay and a guy who was selling his Golf Mk3 GTi wheels.

HI Guys, sorry haven't been around for a while its been a bit busy in the medical device and vaccine world I'm in!
Anyway finally got chance to give the A2 a good clean and some love before my new company car arrives on Thursday, and had a look at a bulb issue, over the last couple of weeks the bulb warning has been coming and going for the passenger headlight main beam, pulled the light out and found the bulb connector was starting to melt, so cleaned that up, can I buy a replacement connector or is it new headlight time?

Cut the connector off and crimp on a suitable sized female spade Polarity does not matter
