Today I.....

Looks who's back! The fuel cap release button, along with cabin motion sensor of course, been working intermitten for a while. During cold season it stops working, when it's hot season it works again. It took a while, but it's back again! For a couple of months now, I don't have to use the manual release to open the fuel cap, yay!

Sounds like the door micro switch is on the way out

Yesterday really, but while at the A2 meeting in Scotland @timmus was there for a few days. So I'd booked a slot. I had already been making rash eBay purchases...
The finished product is amazing.
I've always missed steering wheels controls which might sound petty, as soon as it was fitted I realise I should have done it 2 years ago.
I appreciate the s line badge will not be everyone's taste but it ties in with the rest of my car so it's there for now.
Tom blows my mind with his skills and knowledge every time. How fortunate I think the A2 community is to have him.

The climate was really good when I got the car. I've painted I scratch with plastic paint and a tooth pick. The 4th bottom on the stereo has had the same treatment but was less successful.
It's just the rollers that work with the wheel, volume up and down, scroll between preset stations or CD tracks and when on radio if you push the left rollerbit scans for the next radio station.
I only really wanted volume control so the left roller functionality is a bonus.

That is excellent, like cruise control and very welcome comfort addition. I need another a2 to modern mods on!!
Right back to the oily mess under mine to sort air con!! Enjoy Scotland

The past two afternoons I've been sorting a few important bits.
Replaced the gearbox speed sensor connector (snapped wire). Used a repair kit V10-83-0087. Bit pricey, but a quality part.
Replaced cracked anti-shudder vacuum hoses.
Speedometer works, auto locking works, engine shuts off smoothly. :)

After a week away on holiday it was lovely to get back in my Audi A2. I had been supporting a group of friends cycling in the French Maritime Alps. Driving a Merc van that was 2m wide was quite a shock after the A2. It was lovely to be back in my little A2 again. Aircon working supremely well today

Yikes!!!

...Stripped wheel arch liners, headlights, front bumper, undertray, lower boost pipes (renewing one), intercooler replaced, auxiliary belt swap, oil change with quantum, oil filter change, loosened bolts on compressor and dryer. Oh and fixed hole in washer bottle! All ready for air con work tomorrow! So nervous it's ridiculous.

Great effort there, so far well done mate!

Heavy rain this morning...of course somehow, the front left door didn't shut properly yesterday, and now the seat and carpet is soaked.
I hope the electric stuff under the plastic cover isn't damaged, I don't need more issue to sort out at the moment 👎

Thank you learnt a lot about how it all comes apart, have to agree with many peoples thoughts that it's a pain working on it, but mostly because it's so we'll constructed!! I mean 3 x 10mm bolts and a lug to hold the accumulator\dryer to the chassis leg!! Access to viewing the turbo is so much easier with arch liners out too. Just got more jobs to do now I've found oil leaks.

Or those 2 torx screws at the back of the intercooler holding an already very secure intercooler into place.
