Today I.....

Great stuff Tom, Paul's a really nice guy too isn't he. What are your plans for the car?
Evening Steve,

Completely agree, it was a pleasure to finally meet Paul, a totally nice guy.

This stunning A2 will become my commuter once it’s been enhanced somewhat.

An associated Project thread will commence soon Sir.

Kind regards,

Tom

Congratulations Tom, that really does look good with such a shine on it. Look forward to seeing it at the next social :)
Evening Ian,

This will definetly be at the socials from now on. The paint work is actually quite good and has only received a bucket of warm soapy water so far. No polish or wax just yet. Such a great colour.

Kind regards,

Tom

Super jealous, is it pearlescent paint then?
Evening Ed,

I honestly don’t know yet as the ambient light was disappearing with every wipe of the microfibre towels. I’ll come back to you in better natural light tomorrow Sir.

Does look nice already though and that before applying any paint protective products.

Edit: From what I can find online about Jaipur Red LZ3S, is it indeed pearlescent. Cannot wait to clay it down followed by applying a quality polish and wax.

Kind regards,

Tom

As an ex-owner of a @PaulA2 owned car I am sure you’ll be pleased with how much attention it will have received in his car to ensure it met his standards of reliability and spec. @Spen will I’m sure concur.

Today I…

Got Tango’d!

A blast from the past that advertisement. Anyway, some of you will have picked up on the fact that I registered interest in Paul’s @PaulA2 Tango Tank.

And here it is with the change of ownership complete, parked up at 2work Towers:

It’s a stunning colour and is rather deceiving to the eye. Here in person it’s Orange but in the pictures above it does look to be more Red in colour.

Really excited about starting a new project thread as soon as possible.

Kind regards and Merry Christmas,

Tom
Now that is a beautiful thing, if I could have one of those, my blue one and a pine green I would be very happy.

Well done Tom, glad it's stayed in the club. Look forward to seeing it at a social in 2023. I'm sure you will work your magic on it 🤩.
Happy Christmas to you, Sue and the boys

Evening David,

Yes the car is great shape and is a great base to further enhance.

Hello Andy,

You have a great fullest there. What I can say though is the colour is just stunning. If you do find one, I can highly recommend you view it after it’s been on a winter wet motorway for a few hours. I can promise you that wiping away the grime will out a massive smile on your face. It certainly did mine this afternoon.

Evening Mandy,

The very same to you and Martin. This beautiful A2 will be with me at the socials next year for sure. Have a good-en.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Tom

Do rather like that new addition to the family. Well done.

Best wishes,

Simon
Hello Simon,

Thank you, yes it’s great, it really is.

Paul has done this A2 (Project PDK thread to follow) proud and I’m so happy to be able to take it even further. You’ll certainly be seeing it at the start of the year meal social. My new pride and joy.

Kind regards,

Tom

Today, this happened ....

You'll have seen @Darren C's thread about leaving A2 ownership. This afternoon the beatiful Cobalt FSI, which he has so dilligently and painstakingly cared for over several years, came to its new home in my garage. For anyone who hasn't seen it, the stunning condition inside and out is testament to the amount of time and effort that Darren put into it, and I would like to express my deep gratitude to him for agreeing to sell it to me.

For those who knew that I'd sold my Imola Yellow Colour Storm TDI, I didn't want to say anything at the time in order to give Darren every chance to change his mind if he wanted to. And should he decide to resume A2 ownership at a later date, I've invited him to come and talk to me in the first instance.

Meanwhile I'm going to have to brush up on my detailing skills over and above the 2-bucket wash :) I'll be seeking out some decent products to help keep things the way they are. As my Storm did, the FSI will be coming out for socials and to enjoy on fine days - of which we're sadly not expecting many for the next few months. I look forward to being able to enjoy the innovative FSI engine as Audi made it, implemented in the A2 that I already know and love. But the first thing I have to do is get used to driving a petrol car again - I've owned nothing but diesels for the last 10 years - almost to the day. As you can imagine, I gave Darren a lift home in my Crystal TDI

Evening Ian,

I did have my suspicions on who was going to obtain this incredible A2. I’m sure Darren will have peace of mind that it’s gone to the right person to continue providing it with the pampering it rightly deserves.

Well done.

Kind regards,

Tom

Remember, this is not just petrol, this is FSI petrol. (Acks to M&S).
Mac.

Hi Ian,

Delighted to see suspicions have been borne out. Well done, Sir! Looking forward to seeing it in the not too distant future. Can't think of a better place for that car to find it's new home.

Christmas Greetings.

Simon

Evening,

I did notice you join us recently with your gorgeous Jaipur Red A2, welcome to the Club. Very nice to see another of the same colour about to get some attention and pampering.

The new Project thread has already commenced here:

https://www.a2oc.net/community/index.php?threads/project-pdk-2001-jaipur-red-tdi-amf.51413/

The restoration works to bring it up to the standard of my current commuter:

https://www.a2oc.net/community/index.php?threads/project-oem-2002-azure-blue-tdi-amf.43215/

As for the interior colour scheme, right now it has a Swing (dark grey plastics) Interior with Black Leather Seats. This will no doubt change over time as I believe the exterior colour suits a Twist (beige) Interior. So many decisions to be made.

More to follow on the Project PDK thread.

Kind regards,

Tom

Today I got home from work to find my 14 year son had been working on multi player game he is putting together with a certain A2 as the star. Working lights, indicators, hazard lights, brake lights, horn and hand brake for handbrake turns. Hit an object and you can knock off your mirrors, number plates or if really bad a wheel. Any other ideas and I'll pass them onto him. The shape is a little chunky but recognisable.
Just wish I could download the video.
