Today I.....

Hmm not as bad as I thought. The rest of it looked straight enough.

It needs 2 doors drivers wing.. top mount is twisted suspension on that side has collapsed ripping all the corner to pieces, the drive shaft has been ripped out, there’s a hole the size of my hand in the sump, front bumper and radiator and cross members need replacing then a set of alloys tyres and when all that’s done there’s no guarantee it’d start..

Not as bad as you thought .. ?.. it’s defo a end of life motor..

Boxy, it would appear that the open sky is working, if you are breaking the A2 (as it looks like you will be) I would be interested in buying the opensky if it is in good working order
Is this something that you would consider ?

Cheers,
Paul (AKA Depronman)

Ian

Please can we not have any additional sales through this thread, if anyone wants to ask Ian about parts please Message him directly or contact him via his parts thread.

Not a major problem, I can understand the need to grab such a rare item, but I just didn't want any additional requests to clog up the main forum.

As I say, no big deal, just trying to keep things "ship shape"

Cheers

I'm not arguing that it isn't. I thought the damage would be worse that is all.
It's low mileage I seem to remember (~100k)? Might be interested in the engine if so.

If indeed the engine is any good I will be keeping it but due to the damage to the sump I can’t guarantee it so wouldn’t sell it anyhow sorry.

On a slightly less sombre note... today I was fortunate enough to have two Jaipur A2’s on site at the same time

Today I got some more Dakota grey to finish painting the wheels. And fitted some dubious fitting eBay centre caps for the car. They look ok but no great. Looking forward to giving the car a wash and clean tomorrow and perhaps if the post man is kind fit the new sports gear knob.

Today I had a visit from the legend that is Timmus ¦).

...today I bought our first 2005 A2 :) I have got a lot of really good advices from the Forum and bought it by phone and picked it up during the night, filled the tank, and had a 6h drive home hvile checking available functions while planning what maintenance to do tomorrow... it is a very "ordinary" A2 , though having all I wish for except the MYP 6 speed gearbox... and 2 1/2" straight through exhaust... and Depronman remap...
