Today I.....

Drove My tdi 75 for eight hours straight except for a 20 min brake to load up a bike and "powder my nose" actualy surprised how the seat felt ok the whole time but were dreaming of a Cruise control

By coincidence I ordered a cruise control kit this morning following a trip to Devon last weekend plus a string of them in the near future I think. Can't help thinking that I should have done this well over 100K miles ago ...

Today I let my other half drive drive my A2 for the first time:eek: After 2 years of driving an electric car, it took her a little while to adjust to changing gear again and she explored the full rev range! I'm hoping she'll find it easier driving up the motorway to York on Monday.

Returned from a short holiday, running on 16s this time though will stick 15s on next trip as the potholes feel worse when towing. Wife prefers 17s (sport alloys) though they're horrendous when towing.

Today I... met @Bargepower who kindly dropped off the Votex Kit from @PaulA2.

Ian very nice to meet you sir. I enjoyed our 2 hour conversation about absolutely everything.

Paul thank you very much for the Votex Kit at an amazing price. With a little bit of preparation this will look outstanding in Azure Blue, which is very quickly becoming my favourite colour for an A2 with a Jive interior.

Still might revisit an Ebony Black A2 and fit a Jive interior to it one day. For now though I am happy.

Kind regards,

Tom

I like how you have fashioned your own fittings rather than pay the amazing (I was quoted 80gbp for the 2 rears alone) Audi prices for brake pipes :)

What size are the fittings on the pipes you fitted?
I didn't realise Audi supplied brake pipes. Knocked those two up from pipe and fittings I keep just incase they are needed. The fittings are M10 * 1.0mm.

Well she got there and back in one piece, as well as doing 69.5mpg on the DIS; which given the wind, rain and her driving style is mighty impressive!!
