Today I.....

The rear discs and pads appear to need changing every 2 to 3 years depending on use and conditions.
My friend said the discs don’t need changing this time Dave, but to go very easy on the brakes for a few miles to allow the fresh pads to clean up the previously-unswept area.

Luckily I had purchased a set of genuine girling pads off eBay ready for the change.

If anyone happens to have a set of new carriers and bolts they don’t want then I’m all ears….

The missing friction material from the pad has been MIA for a long time apparently.

This reminds me of the pads on my first BMW motorbike. They were a metal sintered material which used to corrode in the British climate and then the pad material would crack so most of the pad came away from the steel back. Only fixed when I moved to Ferrodo pads.

Spot the member of our hotel staff in Greece with impeccable taste. One stand out car amongst others.

Done 850 miles and am almost at Ingolstat, the only 3 A2’s I’ve seen in the whole journey have been in the 10m now another 3!

We just (well almost) returned from a car holiday down to the Moselle area in Germany, and in 13 days/4000km we only spotted six other A2s (besides our 3L) ! Where are they 😄.

Seeing an A2 on the Autobahn is pretty rare. Most remaining ones seem to hide somewhere in the cities.
I used to barely see any when commuting 100km/day on motorways only and since starting a new job in the city, have seen quite a few nice examples that I didnt even know existed around here including a weirdly specced silver Colour Storm.

In the same vein, going from ~Cologne to Aberdeen in June, I saw only a single non-OC A2 in 1000 miles.

Good to see I'm not the only one taking their A2 on long (road)trips these days 🙂

Yep seen none on on the autobahns or any other road other than around ingolstat, chatted to the ladies at the museum and they said that they are rare and collectible and people are keeping them locally.
Heading to Bad Hindelang for the evening then Lake Constance tomorrow
